High above Lake Chelan in eastern Washington, three separate residences are combined on this vacation residence for a construction company. Separate components, each housing living, kitchen, dining and bedrooms/bath functions, are defined by an open two-story covered breezeway entrance and a shaded court. Lake view lattice-screened decks wrap the structure, joining and lending a cohesive aesthetic to the parts. Broad metal gable roofs, stone, fiber cement horizontal siding, man-made screen lattice materials are hardy, sustainable and maintainable. A western lodge aesthetic and natural color palette is accented by red steel luminaria.
